The Australian Chapter
The OE Australian Chapter is one of the most active overseas chapters. The President, Michael Diamond (Robinson 1984-89), who lives in St Ives in NSW, would be delighted to hear from any OEs residing in Australia, as well as those passing through. His email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Mark Hohenberg (Robinson 1994-99) heads up the Sydney branch and can be reached at email@example.com
The chapter founder, Bob Newman (Wilson 1943-46), served as President for eight years and was succeeded by John Fairfield (Crawfurd 1952-57), who retired after five years in the post. With the assistance of Alison Holmes (White House 1986-88), they hosted barbecues at their homes, arranged events for visiting rugby, netball and hockey teams from the College, organised a gathering at the Brighton Croquet Club (Melbourne) and lunches at Wolfies Restaurant (Sydney).
The photo shows OEs enjoying lunch at Kingsley Steak and Crab House, Whoolloomooloo Wharf in Sydney.
In 2017, lunches will be held as follows:
17th June at Wolfies on The Rocks, with drinks at 12.30 and lunch at 13.00. Please contact Mark Hohenberg to register your interest in attending
29th July at Spice Temple (located in the Crown Complex on Southbank), at 1.00pm. Please contact Michael Diamond to register your interest in attending.
