20 Year Celebration for 1995-96 leavers
The latest in the reunion cycle saw nearly sixty 1995-96 leavers enjoy a 20 Year celebration in the Sixth Form Centre last Saturday. A tour of the campus was followed by a drinks reception and buffet supper, allowing plenty of time for OEs to chat to each other, as well as to current and past members of Common Room. These included Deputy Head Paul Williams, Mike Hobbs, Mike Hampshire, Carol Creevey, Roxanna Harrop, Rob Worrall and Kevin Shaw.
Paul Williams, who was Housemaster of Fayrer twenty years ago and knew most of those present, welcomed the guests and gave a College update on behalf of the Headmaster. Karen Doyle, Education Trust Director, thanked guests for their support of Epsom College and spoke of the importance of bursaries and how they really do change lives.
A number of guests had not been back to the College since they left 20 years ago, so there was a lot of catching up to do. The event stretched well into the evening and one guest wrote afterwards, "Thank you for a splendid event on Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed both the tour and the remainder of the evening. It was a fantastic way to get back into contact with some very old friends and be reacquainted with old masters."
