50 Year Reunion
A group of 1962-1964 leavers, some of whom had not been back to the College since their school days, enjoyed a day of reminiscing at their 50 Year Reunion on 14th September. The Revd. Canon Adrian Esdaile, a member of the College chaplaincy team, led a special service in Chapel, following which guests enjoyed a reception in the garden behind Mackinder, the humanities block opened in 2000.
Guests were amused to find out that they were lunching in what was their Tuck Shop, now the Sixth Form Centre, where they enjoyed a speech by the Headmaster and a piano recital by two pupils. In the afternoon, Crawfurd pupils were on hand to take guests on a tour of the campus in the sunshine, and the day finished back in Mackinder for afternoon tea and an opportunity to view the archive display.
Alan Dickins (G 1960-64) commented afterwards, "It was such fun meeting up again with all those present after such a very long time and very good to see the College so obviously thriving."
