A 20 Year Catch Up for 1992 Leavers
The reunion for 1992 Leavers marked an excellent start to the 10 year reunion cycle at the College. Recognising that many would have young children, a family-oriented afternoon was planned, complete with face painting and crafts. Magdalen Rees, wife of Dudley (Granville), commented, "When children are made to feel so welcome, it is much more relaxing for us as the parents!" The day began with drinks on Chapel Lawn, followed by lunch in the sixth form centre, tours and afternoon sports fixtures.
Barney Bowe (Forest) had this to say about his first visit back, "In spite of having mixed feelings about seeing everybody after so long (and I know I wasn't the only one), it turned out to be a very special day. It reminded me of the great and unique bond I share with the people from Epsom. It also reminded me that I went to an amazing school, and was very fortunate to have had that experience."
The Headmaster, Jay Piggot, who welcomed guests during the lunch commented, "This clearly was a good format for this age group and is an excellent structure to follow for 1993 leavers next year." During this academic year reunions will be held for those who left 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years ago. Dates for the 40 and 50 year reunions will be held in the spring or summer and will be announced in due course.
