OE Hong Kong Chapter Launched
Following the success of last year's event in Hong Kong, a Reception was held during October Half Term officially to launch the OE Hong Kong Chapter. Second Master, Mr Paul Williams, Education Trust Director, Ms Karen Doyle and Mrs Sarah Williams were delighted to see nearly 100 OEs, current parents and pupils on the evening. Hong Kong has the largest number of OEs outside the UK and the Chapter will build the community there by staging a range of events, as well as helping students and young OEs with their careers. Parents will also be invited to join the Chapter.
Huge thanks go to Roland Leung (W 1986-91) for organising the venue and for donating two bottles of champagne for the business card prize draw. We are also very grateful to Paul Hubbard-Brown and his company, CBRE, which sponsored a further two bottles. Final thanks go to five current pupils who helped on the evening - Kiky Chow (Wh), Vera Cheung (Wh), Howard Ha (Fa), Henry Ching (G) and Victor Cheung (H).
A Chapter Committee, headed by Justin Lau (G 1990-95), has been formed and further details on Committee members will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, the Committee looks forward to organising a number of events in the months ahead. To find out more about joining the Chapter, contact Karen Doyle, Education Trust Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
