OEs return after 50 years
The 50 Year Reunion took place in the late summer sun (and rain!) with over 100 guests returning to the College to celebrate 50 years since leaving the College. The day began with a service in Chapel, followed by a drinks reception in the Headmaster's garden, a first for many.
George Pincus (H-S F 1955-61) gave the key-note speech, eliciting murmurs of agreement and groans of remembrance in his recollections of past masters. Richard Snelling (Fa 1958-63) presented a portrait by Denis Barnham of Christopher Oliver, a former English Master to the College. Richard commented "I was given the painting 15 years ago by Mrs Barnham and I have decided it should now be returned to Epsom College."
Richard Browne (Crawfurd 1959-1963) commented "It was a lovely occasion and it was quite extraordinary to meet and to hear news of people I hadn't seen, or even thought about, for half a century." A selection of photos by Peter Robinson (Fa 1958-63) and Andrew MacNair (H-SFa 1957-63) was the subject of a booklet produced for the reunion. To view it, click here.
