OEs v College annual target rifle fixture

On Saturday 8th December, the College Shooting Team welcomed the OERC for its annual Christmas fixture. This involved the great and the good from the world of international shooting reconvening on the cradle of their careers: the Epsom College Shooting Range. William Broad (C 2006-11), Jeremy Dodd (Cr 1973-78), Michael Larcombe (H 2013-18), Andrew Lothian (F 1969-74), Matthew Millar (Rn 2001-06), Parag Patel (H 1989-94), David Rose (Fa 1994-99) and Duncan Samuel (H 1980-85) comprised the celebrity eight: a Live Aid-esque assortment of A-List superstars brought together for one purpose: not pressing a platinum selling Christmas single, but waging war with the bright young things, whose rising stars promise eventually to eclipse them. On this occasion, however, the apprentices did not become the masters, and remained squarely within their shadow.

The eventual score was 665 to 688; however, there were impressive performances from Anush Tovmasyan (scoring 100 ex. 100), and Molly Message (scoring 99 ex. 100). All in all, it was a marvellous and nostalgic event for all.
