Old Master Squibbs draws a crowd
Nearly 30 OEs gathered for lunch along the South Bank to catch up with Michael Squibbs, for the latest in the series, Lunch with an Old Master. In his classic style Michael quipped, "My wife said, an Old Master you might be but you are no oil painting!"
The guest list reflected Michael's long tenure at the College, which began in 1958 and ended in 1994, during which he taught French and German and served as Housemaster of Propert (1965 to 1980) and as Second Master (1990 to 1994). Ian Mill QC (Propert 1971-76) commented, "It was great to catch up with Michael and have the opportunity to meet lots of OEs. These gatherings are a great idea and I look forward to attending more in the future." To see further details on Lunch with an Old Master, click here.
