Launch of the OE Classic Car Club
The OE Classic Car Club got off to a flying start on Founder's Day with over 20 vehicles of various ages and state of repair parking in the designated area. Thank you to everyone for their support, which we now wish to build on.
The display certainly attracted a lot of interest from parents, pupils and staff. A few parents even told me they would have brought their classic if only it had started - well that's the classic car enthusiast's lot sometimes, particularly if it has not had an outing since the winter.
Blessed with perfect weather, the metal shone, some engines roared - others purred. One particularly lovely sight was a young pupil getting a bunch of chums to help polish his Dad's Porsche. Start them young I say! To see photos of the cars, click here.

The OECCC supports the College's capital campaign to build a new Centre for Excellence - The Mermaid. All surplus funds raised by the Club will be donated to the campaign.
